![]() SL1 did have the best looking engines out of the whole SL series. I played a little bit of SL1 had thought it was okay. I do love how every car in 2.3.1 has its own speedometer but the generic one in 2.2.1 had a good charm still. 2.2.1 had a gritty good feel to it, and I loved it. 2.3.1 felt more clean and had more features but the charm was kind of lost. In 2016, I started playing SLRR games (because of WhyBeAre), mainly those SLRR 2.2.1 buggy, high GB modpacks. In the end, I left it be, but I am leaning towards using the "New" dealership screens. I was also thinking about the idea of using the generic 2.2.1 loading screen but that didn't feel right. ![]() I was thinking about using the "New" dealership screens, because the Trade-In dealership is in a way also one. Q: How come the Trade-In dealership loading screens haven't changed?Ī: Because 2.2.1 never had a Trade-In dealership. Personally I think the 2.3.1 speedometers are better than the 2.2.1 one. If I was able to bring it back it would look horrible on 16:9 screens. Q: Could you bring back the driving UI elements?Ī: The gps would be easy but in terms of the speedoemeter, etc it would be hard. Q: Where's the pictures for the money & pink slips when you win the race?Ī: I don't know how to inject them back into the game. It probably would have to be its own mod like SL1&2 Tunes. So that's probably on hold.Ī: That's also maybe. I can't find a single PTX editor, let alone a viewer. Q: Could you do buttons and other GUI elements next?Ī: maybe, a good number of them are in PTX format. Make a backup of "vince.dds" and then rename your racer copy to "vince.dds" and there you go! For example, you should have now: "06 - Copy.dds". Find your racer out of the 1 to 59 dds files and make a copy. Go to \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Street Legal Racing Redline\frontend\textures\interface\profiles. The images are stretched based on your aspect ratio.Ī: This gonna be technical, so hang tight. Some of the loading screens had unnecessary transparent backgrounds so I cropped those that had it. Now you should be ready to go.Ī: Yes they are. You should get a message talking about overwriting/replacing files, go ahead and overwrite/replace files. Now paste both folders in the main game folder (Do not paste into the other folders). Now go to the game's main folder, which should be "#:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Street Legal Racing Redline". There should be 2 folders "decals" & "frontend", Now copy both. Once your in that folder, search for "2546473295" (Thats my mod's folder), now go in it. Now look for the folder "497180" (That's your SLRR workshop mods folder). Go to "#:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\". Copy the mod files manually (Do this after you installed your other mods). Make sure the folders are under your ownership.Ĥ. Run "_CustomWorkshopInstaller.exe" instead of "_CustomWorkshopInstaller_20.exe".ģ. Make your game & workshop files are in the same location (Drive)Ģ. Troubleshooting Tips for "File path is incorrect" & "Customer Installer" Problems:ġ. "Idk if this is still alive but it would be very cool if you thought about adding back the classic loading screens for both used and new car dealership, the one that had both looking like cartoony and had the new car guy fat and a ciggar in his mouth and the used car dealer was skinny and weird lookin" Note: This has nothing to do with SLRReditor, see the comments.Inspiration for this mod was from a comment on a different mod To make a mod engine work with all cars read here: ![]() patch to avoid potential out of range wastegate values on turbochargers correction for v12 L/R dual air out pipe naming new part: "v10 adjustable 6-speed RWD manual transmission" fix for "v12 semi racing kit" engine being incomplete fix for missing "v6 6-speed FWD manual transmission" / duplicate "v6 adjustable 6-speed AWD automatic transmission" (note if you have this transmission in the inventory or on a car - it will change to "v6 6-speed FWD manual transmission") -> this will happen only if a previous mod version was used before: Update 2-4 *It will work for mod cars only if they are compatible with any of the vanilla engines. This contains modified engine files made compatible with all cars (vanilla, DLC, mod cars*). ![]() This is NOT compatible with my "Einvagen Turbo" and "Japanese i4 Supercharger" mods, so if you want to use all these together - install that instead: ![]()
